CA Foundation Result September 2026: Check Scorecard on caresults.icai.org

Status note (verified 6 November 2026, evening IST): The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has declared results of the Chartered Accountants Foundation Examination held in September 2026. ICAI’s announcements page marks the declaration on 06-11-2026, and the official results portal lists “Foundation : September 2026 Announced on 06 Nov 2026.”

Official sources to use

Ignore unofficial “result checker” apps that ask for SMS payments or remote access to your phone.

How to check your CA Foundation September 2026 scorecard

  1. Open https://caresults.icai.org/
  2. Choose the Foundation September 2026 result option shown on the portal (announced 06 Nov 2026). The Foundation result path on this portal is under the Foundation section (for example, the foundation result pages linked from the portal home).
  3. Enter the details the live form asks for—commonly registration number and/or roll number, plus captcha if shown. Keep your admit card or registration letter nearby so you type numbers correctly.
  4. Submit and wait for the scorecard page to load. Portal traffic can be heavy right after declaration; retry after a few minutes if needed.
  5. Download or print the scorecard. ICAI processes typically do not post a separate physical marksheet for this step; your downloaded statement matters for records.

The results portal also shows a Foundation merit-login link. Use merit login only if you need merit-list related views and only by following the instructions ICAI shows on that page. Your personal scorecard check is still through the main Foundation result form.

What to verify on the scorecard

  • Name and registration/roll identifiers.
  • Paper-wise marks and result status as printed.
  • Whether you meet ICAI’s published passing requirements for Foundation (if you are borderline, read the rule text from ICAI student announcements).
  • Spelling mistakes in personal data—report through official ICAI channels, not social-media agents.

If you passed

  • Read ICAI’s next-step announcements for Intermediate registration timelines on https://www.icai.org/category/announcements/ and related official student pages.
  • Keep soft and printed copies of the scorecard.
  • Plan study using official ICAI material pathways rather than random “guaranteed rank” packages.
  • Complete Intermediate registration only through official ICAI systems linked from icai.org (including the Self Service Portal / SSP when ICAI directs you there). Do not hand full account control to third-party “registration agents.”

If you did not pass

  • Note weaker papers from the scorecard before restarting preparation.
  • Check ICAI announcements for the next Foundation exam cycle and open the latest official schedule PDF rather than relying on memory.
  • Avoid paying for “rechecking miracles.” Use only ICAI’s formal verification or inspection processes if you choose them; deadlines, when offered, are published by ICAI and are usually strict.

Keeping records for Intermediate registration

Save:

  • Scorecard PDF and a printed copy.
  • Registration number and admit card scan from the September 2026 attempt.
  • A note of the result declaration date (06 November 2026) for your own file.

Reading marks without self-sabotage

Compare paper-wise marks on your scorecard before changing your entire strategy. One weak paper often needs targeted practice more than a full course restart. If you passed with uneven papers, still strengthen the weak area before Intermediate.

Common pitfalls and scams

  • Lookalike domains that add extra words around “icai” or “caresult.”
  • People asking for your OTP “to download the result for you.”
  • Forwarded Excel sheets claiming to be the full result database.
  • Confusing Intermediate September 2026 results (ICAI announced those earlier, on 22 October 2026) with Foundation September 2026.
