UP Board 2027 Student Information Correction

UP Board 2027 Student Information Correction

The details you enter such as your name, photograph, subjects etc. on the UP Board system will show on your admit card, marksheet and certificate. Even small typos can cause issues later on such as when applying to college or a job. To help you out the UP Board have provided a short period during which student information can be corrected for those sitting the High School and Intermediate Exams 2027. Within this post we highlight what the official letter says.

Fizoic is an independent site and is not affiliated in any way with the UP Board. The information provided here comes directly from the official letter on the UP Board’s official website (UPMSP.edu.in) (https://UPMSP.edu.in/) dated 2nd November 2026. We recommend reading the letter in full.

Important Information

  • Issued by: Secretary, Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh Prayagraj
  • Date: 2nd November 2026
  • To: DIOS (District School Inspectors) across all districts
  • For: Regular and Private students sitting the High School and Intermediate Exams 2027
  • Online Correction Period: 2nd November 2026 to 12th November 2026 at midnight (12:00). On UPMSP.edu.in.
  • By: School Principal (they will log into the UP Board portal).

The key part to remember is that students cannot correct their information online. The school Principal will make the correction. So please ensure you double check your information and let your school know as soon as possible.

7 Corrections That Can Be Made Online By Your School:

  • Spelling Mistakes – Student Name, Mother’s Name, Father’s Name
  • Subjects/Varg
  • Gender
  • Caste
  • Medium – Hindi or English
  • Photograph
  • Incorrect High School Roll Number (This will be entered during your Class 11 Registration)

Corrections That Require An Offline Application:

Some larger corrections cannot be done online. These must be done by an offline application using your school Principal. These include:

  • Date Of Birth
  • Full Name – Student, Mother, Father
  • Deletion/Restore of a students record (As per rules).

The Principal must obtain an application by 16th November 2026 with the following documents:

  • Student Admission Form
  • Certified Copy of SR (Scholar) Register
  • Certified Copy of Attendance Register
  • Students Identity Card
  • Copy of Class 9/11 Registration Card
  • Affidavit of Correct Details
  • TC Signed by District School Inspector
  • TC Signed by District Basic Education Officer
  • Signed Application from School Principal.

The DSIs will verify the documents and by 21st November 2026 they must send them to the regional office along with recommendations. Regional Offices are requested to complete appropriate cases by 30th November 2026.

Please note – These documents are mentioned in the letter. Your school may advise you which ones you require. Please do not pay anyone external to your school to ‘correct’ your records.

How To Double Check Your Information Today

We recommend you do this as soon as possible. The online period is only open for a short time.

  • Ask your class teacher to show you the information on the portal. Schools can see and download the students list (namavali).
  • Check your name is spelt correctly. Compare to your Class 10 Marksheet if you are in Class 12 or your school records if you are in Class 10.
  • Check your Mother and Fathers Names.
  • Check your Date of Birth. Remember – Date of Birth can only be changed via the offline process.
  • Check your subjects and varg. Incorrect subjects can mean you get the incorrect question paper.
  • Check your gender, category and medium.
  • Check your photograph. It should be clear and recent.
  • If you are in Class 12 – Check your High School Roll Number is correct.

What To Tell Your Principal

If you find any mistakes please note them down clearly. A short note is ideal. For example:

“My name is spelled ‘Amit Kumar Yadev’ in the board record. The correct spelling is ‘Amit Kumar Yadav’, as in my school records.”

Hand this to your class teacher or Principal the same day. Once they have made the change ask them to confirm. Take a picture of your note.

Why The Date Matters

The online period ends at midnight on 12th November 2026. Your school Principal will no longer be able to make these changes in this round. If you miss this date you may have to go through a longer process and some mistakes may not be corrected. The best thing to do is double check your information now.

Top Tips To Avoid Mistakes

  • Use the same spelling. Ensure you use the same spelling across all forms that matches your Aadhaar and previous school records.
  • Be careful with your date of birth. The UP Board have also provided a notice saying schools should be careful when entering a students date of birth.
  • Check your photograph. A blurry or old photo can cause issues at the exam centre.
  • Don’t rely on others. Your friends may not have any mistakes but you may.
